In addition to my Niepces Camera Obscura icons for Aperture and iPhoto [link] I have made some Wallpapers containing both icons.
This one is the 1920x1200px Aperture version of them. The iPhoto version of it is available here on deviantArt: [link]
Optionally you can download the whole Wallpaper package with another aspect ratio (4:3) and some versions for your iPhone from the Goodies section on my website [link] or directly via this link: [link]
All Wallpapers using a custom designed background which imitates the look of a metal plate like it was used in Niepces experiments although it wasn't golden To make it more Mac style I have added a stenciled dots pattern (which is a commonly used reference to the front design of the MacPro). Here are the details for the whole Wallpaper Pack:
- Aperture and iPhoto styled Camera Obscura as it was used by Nicephore Niepce. - Including one desktop version with the Aperture styled Camera Obscura and one with the iPhoto styled. Both come in 1920×1200 for widescreen displays and 1600x1200 for normal displays - Including 2 different crops for the iPhone (480x320).
Nicephore Niepce made it first possible to preserve an image taken with a camera obscura in 1826 or 1827 by using a special mixture of bitumen on a glass or metal plate, naming it Heliography. This first photograph "View from the Window at Le Gras" is the one you can see in the iPhoto icon contained in these wallpapers. The third icon is the folder icon i have created for this wallpaper pack.

you know, i'm close to releasing a CD ART DISPLAY fullscreen skin [link] and i wonder if you would give me your permission to use this wallpaper of yours as a background image for an additional substyle of that skin.
that would be really great! what do you think?
links and credits would be given to you of course.
thanks for your comment and yes you can use it for your skin as long you will release it at deviantArt and link and credit me. Beside that it would be very nice if you could include my readme-file in your download too.
first i'll release it at cdartdisplay.com and then a couple of days later it will be released here at dA. your readme will be included, links and credits will be posted.
since i wasn't able to find your readme-file anywhere around here, i decided to do it without it. however, i have included your name and links inside of the skin's configuration file (skin.ini) as well as in the release notes here --> [link]

The butter legion- a socialist movement/mass colab project I started, to trigger artistic change and evolution in Da artists (mainly my watchers), to make them more active and dedicated on DA. Now 170 people strong and growing... A "dangerous cult"? a "new religion"? "artistic version of fight club" or "communist movement"? You decide!
Hello there! This news article is the result of a thumb share thread I posted few days ago on the dA forum along with pictures from my favorites. I hope you enjoy them.
