As requested by many of you here is the blank Wallpaper with just the rusty, grungy, Mac Pro'ish background.
This is the 1920x1200 widescreen version but you can download the whole Wallpaper package with another aspect ratio (4:3) and some versions for your iPhone from the Goodies section on my website[link]
I created this background for my Niepce's Camera Obscura Wallpaper pack with an Aperture version [link]
and an iPhoto version [link]
This custom designed background imitates the look of a metal plate like it was used in Niepces experiments although it wasn't golden To make it more Mac style I have added a stenciled dots pattern (which is a commonly used reference to the front design of the MacPro).
Nicephore Niepce made it first possible to preserve an image taken with a camera obscura in 1826 or 1827 by using a special mixture of bitumen on a glass or metal plate, naming it Heliography. This first photograph "View from the Window at Le Gras" is the one you can see in the iPhoto icon contained in these wallpapers. The third icon is the folder icon i have created for this wallpaper pack.
If you're interested in the story behind these icons feel free to read my blog article about the History of the First Photograph:[link]
